Happy Birthday APT!

APT is celebrating its 35th year in 2017! This will be a year of recognition, celebration, and looking back on over three decades of promoting the value of play, play therapy, and credentialed play therapists. Take an insider’s look into the Association’s history with a new APT Fun Fact in each weekly member flash!

APT Fun Fact: The APT logo features a red puppet mascot, designed by Co-Founder Kevin O’Connor. The mascot was playfully referred to around the APT office as “the Dude” and the name stuck! Now the Dude is a registered trademark of the Association for Play Therapy and an 8” acrylic Dude is sent to anyone who makes a charitable, tax-exempt donation of $20 or more to the Foundation for Play Therapy.

Where's the Dude?!

Join APT in wishing the Dude a happy 35th birthday by entering our monthly “Where’s the Dude” sweepstakes! Whether you are attending a local branch training, having dinner with a friend, going out for a jog, or traveling the world, take the Dude along and snap a picture! *Submit your photos through the link below, and you will be entered into a drawing to win your choice of either $350 cash or $500 off registration fees for the 2017 APT International Conference in Minneapolis, MN! Each new and unique photo submitted equals one entry into the drawing – so get going! Winning photos will be pulled from the drawing and cannot be selected twice, all other submissions will remain eligible for future drawings.

“Oh, the places you’ll go! There is fun to be done! There are points to be scored. There are games to be won.”     – Dr. Seuss, Oh, The Places You’ll Go!
