Always fascinated by who we are, how we relate, and how we grow and develop optimally I studied psychology in my spare(!) time while practicing law in my native England. After immigrating to Colorado I took the opportunity to do my Master’s degree in counseling and discovered a love of and a gift for working with children. Subsequently I trained in play therapy with Felicia Carroll of the West Coast Gestalt Institute and then worked with the supervision of Dr. Eric Green (who uses Jungian-oriented play therapy).
I am a committed yoga practitioner (having studied in India and obtained 2 accreditations) and I enjoy studying languages. I love to snowboard in winter, to travel and hike in summer.
I am a volunteer for English in Action
I use an integrated approach to practice, drawing on cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, and depth psychology as well as using a family systems lens to help families. I am studying with the Sandplay Therapists of America currently and intend to obtain a Sandplay Therapist accreditation.
