I "grew up" professionally working in an acute care psychiatric facility, when I was made Children's Program Director in 1991, with only a background in special education. I was certified in Reality Therapy in 1997, before I had even completed my counseling degree. I have done clinical supervision since 2003. I have been seriously involved with play therapy and expressive therapies--especially sand tray--since 2007. I have served several times as an expert witness in civil and custody trials. For fun, I play guitar and bass; draw cartoons, and play with my three dogs (all rescued dogs).
