More Information
I have always had a passion for connecting with and helping others.

I am an LPC-I (Licensed Professional Counselor Intern) in the State of South Carolina. My road to becoming a therapist has been quite a journey, but I couldn’t imagine myself doing anything else or loving what I do more. My education includes a Masters degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Psychology from Park University. I am also pursuing National Play Therapy certification as well as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy certification. My years of experience in the field have provided me with the opportunity to work with people of all ages, genders, religions, ethnicity, races and sexual orientations. I have experience working in client’s homes, outpatient treatment centers and in non profit organizations.

I am specially interested in continuing to expand my knowledge in the area of trauma, especially with children and adolescents. Another one of my interests relates to enhancing personal empowerment and growth among the Hispanic/Latino population in South Carolina.

Living in various countries has greatly enhanced my sensitivity to cross-cultural transitions, diversity issues and the process of acculturation. It has also furthered my understanding of the central role that language plays in interpersonal relationships. I have extensive experience working with people from various cultural, religious and ethnic backgrounds and providing culturally-sensitive psychotherapy.
