More Information
I have a passion for working with children and adolescents with complex developmental and physical health issues. My entire education and professional focus has been dedicated to serving this population. My areas of work include providing a wide range of therapeutic interventions, with a strong predominance of play therapy to children and adolescents with complex developmental and medical conditions. I focus on issues of social and environmental adjustment, coping and adapting life skills to enhance quality of life despite the condition, increasing executive functioning abilities with daily living skills, and improving compliance with care regimens. My work extends to helping healthy siblings process their own emotions and thoughts around having a sibling with a complex medical condition as well as the families of these youth to assist them in developing and implementing a family system to care for the child while taking care of their own emotional/mental health needs.
