My MA is in Clinical Psychology, with an emphasis in Family Therapy. I'm the former director of The Trevor Project, a national suicide prevention organization for LGBTQ youth. I trained at The McAuley Institute of St. Mary's Medical Center, an adolescent psychiatric hospital based in San Francisco and The Center for Child Development, a school-based therapeutic program based in Los Angeles.
I'm a nationally-recognized expert in preventing youth suicide. I work exclusively with children, adolescents, and their parents, using play therapy and other modalities tailored to the child's needs. I work with children experiencing issues related to attention (ADHD), anger, anxiety, social skills, depression, and adoption. I also support parents who are feeling frustrated and disappointed by their child's challenging behaviors.
