I graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic University in 2013 with the Play Therapy Certificate. I have spent the past 2 1/2 years working in a Child Advocacy Center as a therapist for children, teens and adults who have experienced alleged abuse. I have provided individual and group therapy for children, teens and parents.
My specialties are Trauma, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and Adoption.
With Autism Spectrum Disorders, I work both with individuals and parents/family members to increase positive interactions, reduce behavioral difficulties stemming from a lack of understanding and knowledge, and to increase connection within the family.
I am a TBRI Educator (Trust-Based Relationship Intervention), and use this modality to work with at-risk children/teens (trauma, adoptive and foster) and to train caregivers to provide effective support and treatment for their at-risk children.
I am a certified EMDRIA therapist. I utilize EMDR to increase attachment and self-esteem, as well as to process traumatic events and experiences, and to help facilitate integration for those experiencing dissociative symptomology.
