Just read Lyrica Fils-Aimé’s article in Psychology Today on virtual play therapy, and it deeply resonated with me. As a former Therapeutic Gaming Specialist at Cleveland Clinic Children’s and now a graduate student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (Play Therapy specialization), I’ve seen firsthand how virtual tools, when used intentionally, can still foster connection, expression, and healing. While virtual play therapy isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution, it’s a growing modality worth embracing and refining. Curious to hear how others have navigated this in their own work!
