Disaster Activity Book for Kids - Free Download

As the impact of Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma hit our in 2017, APT sought to bring attention to a resource available to help children.

Too Much Weather is an activity book to help children cope with natural disasters such as hurricanes.  The activities for this book were created by Drs. Anne Stewart and Danielle Budash, both Registered Play Therapist - Supervisors and faculty in the Department of Graduate Psychology at James Madison University.  It was most recently distributed by FEMA to children affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, but was initially created after Hurricane Katrina.

The Foundation for Play Therapy provided the funding to print 52,000 copies of this helpful tool. Print copies of this eight-page booklet are very limited (in both English and Spanish) but are available for order via the APT website. The booklet is also available for FREE download here in English or Spanish.
